Jose Becerra 2My name is José. I am from Colombia. I love my country, but I also love travelling. I like my little town, but I also like to know distant cultures. I enjoy too much staying at home, but also walking in unknown cities or biking in the countryside abroad. In the middle of these pretty contradictions I came here with the idea of giving something (help, peace, work, words, I don't know yet) and learning a lot from the multicultural college community, from England and from Africa. I came full of dreams, but empty, with space to receive.

I am frugal. I like simple things given by life and I have taken them here... With the contemplation of landscapes, the architecture, the sunshines, with wild free rabbits, squirrels and birds. By feeling the weather and the wind, by watching the clear sky (dark or blue), by learning other customs of the sun (not always tall at noon). Twice I have seen deers: the second time a young solitary boy, the first one a family of four. In both I was with Humus, the gardener dog, a good loyal friend. I feel these simple things have made me lucky of this decision. These first half month has been like to complete months, full of new experiences, people, trees, games, chirps of birds and places. If I feel this here, how impressive, challenger and astonishing will Africa be? We shall see. I will tell you.
